Holocaust Program Scheduled Today
A free seminar today at Valley College commemorating Yom HaShoah--Holocaust Remembrance Day--will include personal discussions from Holocaust survivors.
The program, “Three Lives, Three Journeys,” sponsored by Hillel at Pierce and Valley colleges and the Valley College Jewish Studies Department, will include presentations from survivors Erika Jacoby and Cesia Kingston as well as a discussion by Trudi Alexy, whose family survived as hastily baptized Catholics in fascist Spain.
The program will run from 9 a.m. to noon in Monarch Hall in Valley’s Campus Center, 5800 Fulton Ave.
The seminar will continue from 7 to 9 tonight with “Down From Sinai, Up From Auschwitz,” a multimedia presentation by Zev Garber, Valley College Jewish studies instructor, in the Fireside Room of the Campus Center.
