Man Running Across Street Struck, Killed

STANTON — Two men running across Beach Boulevard were struck by a car and one was killed, sheriff’s deputies said Tuesday.
Jesus Valdivia, 57, of Westminster and a friend were running west across Beach Boulevard near Katella Avenue about 8:30 p.m. Monday when a sports car struck both men, killing Valvidia, Sheriff’s Lt. Ron Wilkerson said.
The driver did not see the men, Wilkerson said.
Valvidia died at Columbia West Anaheim Medical Center in Anaheim. The other pedestrian was treated at UCI Medical Center in Orange. His name was not released.
The driver, who was not injured, has not been cited pending an investigation, Wilkerson said.
