Homework Might Change Ex-Duck’s View of Trade
Earlier this week your paper passed along some comments made by former Mighty Duck Oleg Tverdovsky on his new team’s upcoming playoff series with the Ducks. To quote: “I hate that team . . . I don’t think they have a lot of talent.”
Perhaps Mr. Tverdovsky needs to do a little homework before he pops off. Tverdovsky went to his current team from the Ducks along with Chad Kilger for Teemu Selanne and a prospect.
This season, Selanne outscored Tverdovsky and Kilger combined by 47 points. Selanne had 37 more goals than the pair and 10 more assists. And, Selanne’s shooting accuracy was 37.4% higher.
