Fair to Offer Career Advice for Disabled
Representatives from several San Fernando Valley disabled adult service organizations will provide information about employment and educational opportunities for the disabled at a career fair today at Birmingham High School in Van Nuys.
The free fair, which starts at 4:30 p.m. in the school’s multipurpose room, is sponsored by the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Career and Transition Services program.
“Although the fair is designed for disabled students and their parents, it’s a chance to make the public aware about their needs as well,” said Jodee Mora, Career and Transition Services manager for the district. “This is the first time we have collaborated with other Valley providers and we hope this will become an annual event.”
Birmingham is located at 17000 Haynes St. Free parking is available at the school near Victory Boulevard.
