Compost Available at El Dorado High
Residents who need compost for their gardens can get it free on Saturday at El Dorado High School’s north parking lot, 1651 N. Valencia Drive.
The compost will be available from 9 a.m. to noon, or as long as it lasts.
Those taking advantage of the offer must bring their own containers to collect the loose compost; plastic bags are not recommended.
There is a limit of 60 gallons of compost per household, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The giveaway, sponsored by the city and Placentia Disposal, is in thanks to residents for participating in the Recycle Placentia program, officials said.
The compost is made from local yard waste.
