SCC Gets 11 Consecutive Hits in 26-2 Victory

Southern California College’s first 11 batters got hits in a 12-run first inning and the Vanguards pounded Pomona-Pitzer, 26-2, Monday in a nonconference baseball game in Claremont.
SCC’s run and hit (32) totals were season highs. Kevin Doyle went five for seven with four runs scored and Joe Rivera was four for six with three runs and four runs batted in for the Vanguards (25-10).
