Clipper update--Guard Darrick Martin scored 23 of his 31 points in the second half as the Clippers defeated the Orlando Magic by 19 points Thursday night to end a four-game losing streak. Loy Vaught, who started his second consecutive game at center, had 15 points and eight rebounds despite sitting out the fourth quarter. Guard Malik Sealy had 21 points as the Clippers defeated the Celtics by four points in February.
Celtic update--The NBA’s second-worst team, the Celtics have lost seven consecutive games, including a 96-87 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night. The Celtics have the NBA’s worst defense, giving up an average of 106.9 points per game. Forward Antoine Walker is averaging a team-high 16.8 points and 9.1 rebounds.
