Van Reusen, 6 feet 6, had a big week. He had 30 kills, 19 digs and five blocks in the eighth-ranked Chargers’ four-game victory over No. 2 Santa Margarita. He also had 18 digs and a season-high 45 kills in a five-game victory over El Toro. “He has just been dominating,” Edison Coach Lee Maes said.

* Pacifica, senior. Drove in three runs and pitched a four-hitter in 3-2 victory over La Quinta. Had two homers in a victory over Santa Ana Valley.

* Huntington Beach, senior. Mark of 206 feet 2 inches in dual meet with Edison was second-best in state history.
Mike Walters/Baseball/Outfielder
* El Modena, junior. Had eight RBIs, hitting a grand slam, a two-run homer and two-run double in a 12-12 tie with Anaheim.
