Fenoglio Sparks Pacifica Past Valley Christian

Jon Fenoglio was three for four with two home runs and five runs batted in to lead Pacifica to a 10-3 first-round victory over Cerritos Valley Christian in the Santa Ana Elks Tournament Saturday at Santa Ana Valley High.
Wes Choate added his first home run of the season in the second inning and Matt Huggett (1-2) pitched five innings, striking out six and giving up one hit for the Mariners (6-5).

Diamond Bar 14, Santa Ana Valley 9 (8)--Daniel Montoya was three for four with three runs scored and an RBI and Rolando Ramirez was two for four with three RBIs for Santa Ana Valley (6-4).
Orange 6, Baldwin Park 0--Phong Vo pitched a four-hitter, striking out seven, for Orange (4-6).
Reno (Nev.) 8, Century 3--Mike Cuevas had a double, a stolen base and a run scored for Century (3-6).
Villa Park 14, Santa Ana 5--Robbie McConchie had a double and a triple and Ryan Deovlet had a double and a home run for Villa Park (4-6).
Covina Charter Oaks 12, Santiago 3--Reggie Sutherland and Jeff Jensen each had RBI doubles in the seventh inning for Santiago (2-9).
