Applicants Sought for Advisory Boards
The City Council is seeking applicants to serve on two advisory commissions, the Library Services Committee and the Access Appeals Board.
Library commissioners report regularly to the City Council on the city’s efforts to improve its two county branches in the downtown and Mesa Verde sections of the city.
Members of the group worked with the county last year to add hours to the library schedules and open the branches on Sunday for the first time in more than a decade. The nine-seat board currently has four vacancies. Two of the positions are as alternates.
The Access Appeals Board conducts hearings regarding the city’s health and safety code and works directly with the Building Division. There is one opening.
The council will review the applicants and make the appointments. The deadline to apply is April 11.
Interested individuals are encouraged to submit a letter of interest and a resume to Mayor Peter Buffa, City Hall, P.O. Box 1200, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, CA 92628-1200.
