Rejected for a Job? Try Again in 6 Months
About 1% of the top executives and 2.5% of the mid-level managers at Orange County companies change every month, according to Inside Prospects of California, a Newport Beach research firm that surveys up to 10,000 businesses in the county each month.
The rotating management door is something that salespeople and job seekers tend to forget, said Bob Larking, Inside Prospects’ president. He suggests that anyone turned down for a sales contract or a position at a firm try again in six months or a year.
“The needs of a company change, and the staff changes,” he said. “ ‘No’ only means ‘No now.’ ”
