Stadium Renovation Captured on the Web
Baseball fans can follow the Anaheim Stadium renovation play by play on the World Wide Web.
The Web site features images of the stadium’s $100-million make-over, including a historic overview of the project, a fact sheet, and the Anaheim Angels’ home game schedule and promotional dates for the upcoming season.
Renovation of the 31-year-old stadium is to be completed by April 1998 under an agreement between the city and Anaheim Sports Inc., a subsidiary of Walt Disney Co.
Bill Robertson, spokesman for Anaheim Sports Inc., said that the first phase of the renovation is nearly complete: “We are on schedule for the beginning of the 1997 baseball season.”
The stadium renovation can be found at www.anaheim.net/stadiumindex.html.
