Bike Tour to Raise Funds for Grad Night
Cyclists will pedal at the Tour d’Olympiad on Sunday to raise money for Saddleback Valley Unified School District’s annual Grad Night celebrations.
Riders of all ages and abilities may participate in the tour, which will start at 7:30 a.m. and will feature 5-, 15-, 36- and 52-mile courses through Mission Viejo, including portions of the 1984 Olympic Road Racing Course. All events will begin and end at Mission Viejo High School.
The entry cost is $23 for each rider. Cyclists may register the day of the event starting at 6:30 a.m. at the high school, 25052 Chrisanta Drive.
Grad Night celebrations provide students with a safe drug- and alcohol-free environment and have attracted more than 90% of graduating seniors in the Saddleback district since the program started in 1988. The celebrations are run by volunteers and supported by the community.
