More Trouble for Rider
Troubled Portland Trail Blazer guard Isaiah Rider reportedly is under investigation for an alleged disturbance late Tuesday at the air charter company that services the team’s flights.
The Oregonian reported Saturday that Port of Portland police are investigating an incident that involved Rider. Sources told the Oregonian that Rider, who missed the Trail Blazers’ Tuesday charter flight to Phoenix, was abusive to Flightcraft employees.
He allegedly asked the charter company to supply another plane to take him to Arizona for Wednesday night’s game, but was rejected. Rider reportedly became angry and shouted obscenities at Flightcraft personnel. One source said Rider broke a cellular phone.
Meanwhile, the Trail Blazers suspended forward Dontonio Wingfield for today’s game against Seattle because of conduct detrimental to the team.
