Cal Lutheran Takes Lumps in Loss to Westmont

Cal Lutheran had to feel pretty good with a five-run lead in the first inning and undefeated Eric Kiszczack on the mound Wednesday.
Moments later Kiszczack (4-0) took a line drive off of his right shin and had to leave the game. Westmont rallied to defeat the Kingsmen, 12-8, in a nonconference game at Thousand Oaks.
Westmont (8-11) took a 9-7 lead with eight runs in the third inning against reliever Marco Marquez (3-1) of Cal Lutheran (3-1).
San Diego 11, Cal State Northridge 0--The Toreros (7-10) tagged Nathan Rice (2-2) for seven runs in the third inning of a nonconference game at San Diego.
Brian Mazone (2-4) held Northridge (15-8-1) to six singles.
SOFTBALL
Antelope Valley 10, Chaffey 0--Correna Berlinger struck out nine and didn’t allow a hit in a Foothill Conference game called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.
