Thompson Leads USC Over Oregon State
Tina Thompson scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the USC women to an 86-60 victory over Oregon State on Saturday in a Pacific 10 game at Corvallis, Ore.
USC, 18-7 overall and 12-4 in the Pac-10, jumped to an 11-1 lead in the first four minutes and was never threatened.
Michelle Campbell and Kristin Clark had 15 points apiece for USC. Adrian Williams added 14.
USC led, 44-28, at halftime and never let the Beavers closer than 14 points in the second half. They led by 27 points three times in the second half.
Oregon State dropped to 11-15, 5-12 as senior center Tina Lelas was held to two points.
Oregon 64, UCLA 61--Arianee Boyer scored 17 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, leading the Ducks (20-6, 13-4) over the Bruins (12-13, 6-10) at McArthur Court in Eugene. Maylana Martin led the Bruins with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
