Youth Is Slain After He Refused to Give Up Watch

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Jean Pierre Kamel, 14, was fatally shot outside Conniston Middle School when he refused to give up his wristwatch as he arrived for classes Monday, police and witnesses said.
“He was shot three times in the chest,” West Palm Beach police dispatch supervisor Linda Mytych said.
Police took a 14-year-old classmate into custody for questioning, police said.
