Super Bowl weekend found four films battling for first place: “Jerry Maguire,” “Metro,” “Beverly Hills Ninja” and “In Love and War.” Tom Cruise’s sports flick ended up the winner, edging out “In Love and War,” starring Sandra Bullock and Chris O’Donnell, by less than $30,000, with the Chris Farley and Eddie Murphy comedies in close pursuit.
* In limited release, the Golden Globe Award-winning Czech film “Kolya” earned $37,795 on just three screens; Hollywood Pictures bio-flick “Prefontaine” made $311,253 on 201 screens.
