King update--The Kings have been outscored, 11-3, in two games since the All-Star break. Left wing Kevin Stevens has not scored since taking a five-game scoring streak, which included goals in four consecutive games, into the break. Defenseman Rob Blake, who has sat out 11 games because of a broken right hand, will play his first game since Dec. 26. The Kings were 4-6-1 without him.

Duck update--This is a big game for the Ducks, who have been trying to distinguish themselves from the crowd contending for the last Western Conference playoff spot but lost both recent matchups against rivals for the position, falling to Calgary and Phoenix. But Paul Kariya has 20 goals and 49 points in 33 games.
