After last weekend’s double sweep of the Arizona schools, all of a sudden, these two teams are playing for first place. For the Bruins, who barely survived at the Sports Arena last season when Charles O’Bannon made a jumper at the buzzer, this game kicks off a four-game road swing in which they need to get at least a split. One telling statistic: The Trojans have forced opponents to commit a conference-high 22.2 turnovers a game, and UCLA commits a league-high average of 19.5. “People have been going in there and getting beat,” UCLA guard Toby Bailey said, noting USC’s 4-0 home conference record. “This SC team looks like they’re strong and they look like they’re ready to take care of business this year.” USC Coach Henry Bibby said senior Rodrick Rhodes is not 100% recovered from a sprained knee but will play.
