City Seeks Volunteers for Advisory Positions
The city is seeking applications from volunteers interested in serving on the Advisory Committee for the Disabled and the Housing and Community Development Advisory Board.
Members of the disabilities committee advise the city Planning Commission and City Council on the development of facilities, plans, policies, programs and literature.
The panel meets on the first Thursday of odd-numbered months at 7 p.m. in City Hall Conference Room No. 1.
The housing committee reviews the city’s block grant programs with the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development and related issues.
The board meets the first Wednesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. in City Council chambers.
Applications are available in the city clerk’s office at 10200 Slater Ave.
The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Jan. 31.
