Fountain Valley’s Hart Commits to UNLV

Brian Hart, a 6-foot-5, 285-pound offensive tackle from Fountain Valley, has orally committed to play football at Nevada Las Vegas, his father, Bruce, said Tuesday.
Brian Hart was a Times first-team all-county selection last season and was a two-time All-Sunset League pick.

Ruben Vaughn, a linebacker from Foothill High, has orally committed to play football for Oregon, Foothill Coach Tom Meiss, said. Vaughn was an All-Empire League selection last season.

Corey Tolmasoff, a center fielder on the San Clemente baseball team, has orally committed to attend Columbia this fall, Triton Coach Dave Gellatly said.
Tolmasoff, who batted .329 with 15 runs batted in last season, when he was a first-team All-South Coast League selection, also considered Dartmouth and Loyola Marymount.

John Knox, track and field coach at Century High the last six years, has resigned to spend more time with his family, Athletic Director Lisa Treen said.
