Registration Deadlines Near for Municipal Elections
Feb. 3 is the deadline to register to vote in the March 4 elections, the Los Angeles County registrar-recorder has announced.
Fifty-three Los Angeles County municipalities are holding elections on that date. Residents of Palmdale will also vote on a school bond measure March 4.
The city of Los Angeles will hold its election April 8. The deadline for registering to vote in that election is March 10.
To be eligible to vote, a resident must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old and cannot have been convicted of a felony.
Mail registration forms are available at city halls, post offices, fire stations, libraries and other county buildings, as well as many banks and savings and loans.
Registration assistance is available at the Department of Motor Vehicles and some public service agencies, the registrar-recorder said.
