Administrators at Cal Lutheran University have named Kristin Bertell the school’s new director of development.

Bertell, the former development director for the Greater Southeast Healthcare System in Washington, D.C., began steering the small Thousand Oaks religious school’s fund-raising and grant writing efforts on Jan. 6.

“Her personal character, integrity and experience will significantly benefit Cal Lutheran,” said George E. Engdahl, vice president of university advancement.
