Irvine has played better since conference play began. Still, the Anteaters continue to lose. Point guard Lamarr Parker had 18 points against Pacific and 23 against Long Beach State. Cal Poly San Luis Obispo had lost five of six games before opening conference play with two victories. All five Mustang starters average in double figures, led by guard Shanta Cotright with 16 points a game.
