35 Party-Goers Hurt When Balcony Falls

A wooden balcony collapsed during a New Year’s Eve party in Perth, injuring 35 people, 13 of them seriously, police said. About 40 people plunged 15 feet to the ground when the second-floor balcony of an apartment gave way. The victims, ages 18 to 25, suffered head and spinal injuries, broken bones and lacerations.
