Thousands Lose Power After Blast

VALENCIA — An underground explosion near the Golden State Freeway and Pico Canyon Road caused a power outage for 3,800 Valencia residents that lasted several hours Tuesday.
Southern California Edison officials said an underground vault, which helps distribute electricity to power lines, exploded at 7:36 a.m.
There were no injuries reported.
