Loara got another all-purpose performance from Lappin, the school-record holder in total offense, in a 34-31 victory over Irvine Friday in Division V playoffs. Lappin passed for 123 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 137 yards, including a one-yard sneak in the final minutes. He also ended Irvine’s final possession by intercepting a pass.

* El Dorado, senior. Scored five goals in a 8-7 victory over Costa Mesa and six in 12-9 victory over Los Alamitos in Division II playoffs.
Mark Gleason/Cross-Country
* Mission Viejo, junior. Won the section Division II title, finishing in 14 minutes 20 seconds, the second fastest time of the day.
Leo Gordillo/Cross-Country
* Tustin, sophomore. Finished fifth in Division III race in 14:48, leading the Tillers to the team title.
