Winger Potomski Shows Improvement

Winger Barry Potomski has been sidelined since Oct. 18 because of a herniated disk, but is getting closer to rejoining the team. Potomski, a 6-foot-2, 215-pound second-year pro, scored two goals and had 30 penalty minutes in six games before he was injured.

The team did not practice Monday as the players, coaches and administrators played in their annual charity golf tournament at MountainGate Country Club. The team will leave this morning for Edmonton, where it plays the Oilers on Wednesday. Then it’s on to Calgary and the Flames on Thursday.

The Kings can trace most of their problems to their most familiar foes. They are 9-10-3 overall, but against Western Conference opponents they are only 3-6-1.
The Kings are 0-1-1 against Edmonton and Calgary. Over the last two seasons, they are 2-7-3.
