Vandals Tag Laguna Hills High School
LAGUNA HILLS — A group of taggers spray-painted walls and shattered windows early Sunday at Laguna Hills High School, the Sheriff’s Department said.
Investigators believe the vandalism occurred between 3:30 and 7 a.m., when a school custodian discovered the damage and called authorities.
Several campus buildings as well as a handball court and a nearby condominium were defaced with gang or “tagger crew” monikers, Lt. William Francis said.
The vandals also smashed the windows of four cars parked on the campus and shattered one classroom window with a beer can, Francis added.
“This kind of thing has occurred before, but not on this scale,” he said. “We are still putting things together, but we think it was some local taggers.”
Authorities have not determined how much damage was done.
