SYNOPSIS: The Pirates (11-0) scored 23 points in the first quarter at Daniels Field. Melvin Yarbrough passed for 165 yards and three touchdowns.

SYNOPSIS: Ramiro Esqueda kicked a 30-yard field goal with 3:22 to play to give the Golden Cougars (8-3) an upset victory at Palisades (8-3).

SYNOPSIS: Dwayne Wilbert returned an interception 25 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter to put the Gauchos (7-4) ahead to stay at Sylmar (8-3).

SYNOPSIS: Junior Galvan led the Hunters (7-4), rushing for 115 yards in 18 carries and scoring on runs of two, two and 22 yards at Canoga Park.

SYNOPSIS: Charlie Coronado caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from Ethan Slimak with 41 seconds left as host Verdugo Hills (8-3) rallied for a victory over Roosevelt (5-6).

SYNOPSIS: Dante Clay rushed for 162 yards and a touchdown and David Harlow added 108 yards rushing and two touchdowns at North Hollywood (6-5).

SYNOPSIS: Rod Perry broke open a six-point game at the half with three second-half touchdown receptions from quarterback Nick Stremick to lead the Monarchs (11-0).

SYNOPSIS: Jose Mendoza scored on a 12-yard run with 1:23 left as the Cubs (10-1) overcamea 17-6 halftime deficit against Eisenhower (5-5-1) at Pierce College.

SYNOPSIS: Andrew Hill caught a 20-yard touchdown pass from Joe Cordova with 3:03 remaining to lift the host Braves (9-1-1) over Trabuco Hills (6-5).

SYNOPSIS:Travis Carroll passed for 359 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Indians (9-2), who scored on their first four possessions, at College of the Canyons.

SYNOPSIS: Running back Sultan McCullough rushed for 263 yards and three touchdowns as the Mustangs (9-2) rolled over the Wolverines (6-5) at Pasadena City College.

SYNOPSIS: Greg Cicero completed 17 of 19 passes for 285 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for another touchdown in a little more than two quarters for the Friars (10-1).

SYNOPSIS: Adam Tate rushed for 326 yards in 30 carries--including touchdown runs of 78, three, 55 and 39 yards--for the host Moors (8-3). Tate has 33 touchdowns this year.

SYNOPSIS: Leo Kosi rushed for 183 yards and four touchdowns in 32 carries, pushing him over the 2,000-yard mark, for the Vaqueros (11-0) at Bolsa Grande High.

SYNOPSIS: James Schneider threw touchdown passes of 29 and 55 yards and kicked a 37-yard field goal to lead the host Rams (10-1) over La Puente (7-4).

SYNOPSIS: Russell Farrar rushed for 240 yards and two touchdowns in 25 carries as the top-seeded Rangers (10-0-1) easily handled visiting Fillmore (3-8).

SYNOPSIS: Eric Reese rushed for 140 yards, including a 70-yard touchdown run, and senior line backer Joe Ntuk had 18 tackles for the host Saints (8-2).
