In other Division XI games:
Serrano 42, L.A. Baptist 41--The Knights (7-4) pulled within a point on Peter Dirksen’s 40-yard touchdown pass play to Chris Ross with 3:28 to play.
But on a two-point conversion try, Dirksen was tackled inches short of the goal line.
L.A. Baptist got the ball back, but with a minute to play Dirksen’s pass on fourth and 10 from the Knight 49 fell incomplete and Serrano (3-8) ran out the clock.
Ross rushed for 177 yards and a touchdown in 14 carries. Teammate Ron Atkins scored twice, on a 10-yard touchdown pass and an 80-yard kickoff return.
Dirksen completed 12 of 29 passes for 212 yards and three touchdowns.
Serrano was led by Daniel Richardson, who rushed for 364 yards and five touchdowns in 33 carries.
