Police Kill Suicidal Girl

LAUREL, Md. — A 16-year-old girl threatening to shoot herself was fatally shot by police after she pointed a gun at officers.
The shooting occurred Thursday afternoon after officers responded to a phone call from Julie Marie Meade threatening suicide, police said. The teenager was shot in the head and torso several times, a police spokesman said.
