Crews Douse Fuel Fire; 4 Dead, 19 Hurt

Firefighters doused the last flames of a 35-hour blaze at a fuel depot in San Juan Ixhuatepec that killed three oil workers and a firefighter. The explosion in this small town on the edge of Mexico City occurred Monday during work to repair a faulty valve. Nineteen people were hospitalized with injuries. Mexican opposition congress members demanded the resignation of the head of the state oil monopoly, Pemex, which owns the installation and has had a string of disasters in recent years.
