Watchdog Group Meeting Tonight
Campaign finance reform, Tuesday’s election results and daytime curfews for teenagers are among topics for discussion at tonight’s monthly meeting of the Committees of Correspondence, a government watchdog group.
Group members will explain how to read campaign finance documents, detect illegal contributions and report them to authorities.
Another presentation will deal with a proposal by some county educators and police officials to impose daytime curfews on children in an effort to cut truancy and youth-related crime. A few cities have approved the curfew, but many activists strongly oppose the idea.
The meeting is at 7 p.m. at Orange City Hall, 300 E. Chapman Ave.
