Sound Source in Pact With S. African Distributor

Sound Source Interactive Inc. in Westlake Village has signed a distribution agreement with Ster-Kinekor Home Entertainment of Sandton, South Africa.
Under the terms of the agreement, effective immediately, Ster-Kinekor has the exclusive rights to distribute Sound Source products in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Swaziland and Botswana.
“With Ster-Kinekor Home Entertainment’s multiple levels of entertainment distribution, they are a perfect fit for our Hollywood titles,” said Vincent Bitetti, chairman of the board and chief executive officer. “They are very well known in South Africa and have a reputation of providing top-quality products.”
Ster-Kinekor distributes videos and CD-ROM products to the rental and retail markets throughout southern Africa. In addition to Sound Source, other major licenses include Columbia TriStar Home Video and Sony PlayStation.
Sound Source Interactive publishes educational and entertainment software based on major motion pictures and television series.
Properties from which Sound Source products have been created include “Star Trek,” “Star Wars,” “Dragonheart” and “The Land Before Time.”
