Hebert Expected to Play Quickly
Goaltender Guy Hebert is expected in camp today, the final arrival from the World Cup.
The Ducks are the only NHL team that sent two goalies to the tournament, and since Hebert and Mikhail Shtalenkov were both backups, they’re in shape but in need of game action.
Ron Wilson--Hebert’s coach in Anaheim and with Team USA--would like to put Hebert in the lineup right away for Saturday’s exhibition against the New York Rangers in Las Vegas.

The Ducks trimmed their roster of players in camp to 31, sending goaltender Mike Torchia to Fort Wayne of the International League and assigning eight players to Baltimore in the American League: goalie Tom Askey, defensemen Dan Trebil and Pavel Trnka and forwards Chris Herperger, Peter Leboutillier, Sean Pronger, Craig Reichert and Jeremy Stevenson.
