Kevorkian Helper Foresees Her Suicide

As Dr. Jack Kevorkian’s assistant, Janet Good has counseled people with painful illnesses and watched Kevorkian help them take their own lives. She says her own battle with cancer will almost surely end in suicide--with, she hopes, Kevorkian at her side. “I want to end my life gently, peacefully, painlessly--just like I’ve seen Dr. Kevorkian’s patients die,” Good, 72, said in Farmington Hills. She was diagnosed more than a year ago with pancreatic cancer, a particularly virulent disease. She has witnessed several Kevorkian-assisted suicides. At least 40 people have died with the doctor’s help.
