VENTURA — Police say they are investigating a possible drive-by shooting that occurred at the beachfront Holiday Inn Saturday night.
Nobody was injured in the 9:45 p.m. incident outside a wedding reception at the hotel, but an unidentified male juvenile was targeted by the gunfire, police said.
“We found six .22 [caliber] casings at the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and California Street,” Ventura Police Sgt. Randy Janes said.
He said someone in a black automobile fired the shots near the California Street Mall and then sped north on California Street with headlights off before disappearing into a restaurant parking lot.
