Information about candidates in the upcoming city election is now posted on Newport Beach’s Internet home page: https://www.city.newportbeach.ca.us.
The brainchild of new City Clerk Lavonne Harkless, the elections entry has biographies and photographs of most of the nine candidates who are vying for the three open council seats this fall and can be called up by clicking on the Municipal Elections Information icon.

Newport Beach’s Internet home page address and City Clerk Lavonne Harkless’ e-mail address were listed incorrectly in a story in Friday’s Times. The correct addresses are:

The entry, launched this week, also includes each candidate’s political statement.
Harkless said she will update the entry as new information, such as dates for debates or forums, are provided to her, either by telephone or by e-mail: [email protected].
