Alcohol Suspected in 3-Car Crash; 3 Hurt
Authorities are investigating whether alcohol was involved in a three-car collision Thursday on California 126 west of Fillmore that sent three people to the hospital, one with moderate chest injuries.
One of the vehicles involved in the crash was a U.S. Forest Service pickup, said Kathy Good, an agency spokeswoman. The truck’s driver and a passenger were not injured.
California 126 was closed for about an hour and traffic in and out of town was routed onto Old Telegraph Road.
Three people were taken to Santa Paula Hospital. Two were treated for minor injuries and released. The third received moderate injuries and was hospitalized, authorities said.
The CHP had not released further details of the 3:40 p.m. accident by late evening and did not identify the victims.
