LABOR DAY WEEKEND
Monday marks the celebration of Labor Day, set aside to recognize labor’s contribution to the nation and the traditional end of summer.
* Closed: All government offices, courts, banks, post offices, stock and commodity exchange, libraries and many businesses. MTA buses will follow Sunday schedules and Metrolink will be closed.
* Trash: Regular Monday trash collection for Los Angeles city residents will be postponed until Tuesday.
