McNamara Set to Rejoin Team Saturday

Interim Manager John McNamara will leave Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York today, spend several days at his Nashville, Tenn., home, then rejoin the Angels Saturday.

McNamara, 64, had been hospitalized because of a blood clot in his right calf since Aug. 21.

“He’s going to have a couple of days of rest and relaxation, then he’ll be right back here,” said Joe Maddon, who has replaced McNamara as manager.
