Westlake Village Company Marks 40th Anniversary

Jafra Cosmetics International, based in Westlake Village, is celebrating its 40th anniversary this month.
Founded in the Malibu home of Jan and Frank Day in 1956, the skin care company now boasts more than $100 million in annual retail sales in the United States and Canada. There are more than 300,000 independent Jafra consultants worldwide.
The company was bought by Gillette in 1973 and moved to Westlake Village in 1980.
