Flamemaster’s Profit Triples in 3rd Quarter

Flamemaster Corp. saw its net income more than triple in its third quarter on a 39% rise in revenues.
The Sun Valley-based specialty chemicals company posted a $145,770 profit in the quarter that ended June 30, compared to a $42,799 profit a year ago. Sales in the third quarter rose to $963,711, up from $693,644.
For nine months, the company’s net income more than doubled to $309,899 from $122,870 last year. Revenues also rose 15% to $2.5 million, up from $2.1 million a year earlier.
The company said its improved results were due to reduced legal costs, expanded aerospace business and its investments in PerfectData and Dynamastic Corp. Flamemaster owns 21% of PerfectData and 49% of Dynamastic.
