Hearing to Focus on Child-Care Center
A city zoning official will hold a public hearing Friday in Sherman Oaks to discuss the operation of a Reseda nursery and elementary school, the Los Angeles Office of Zoning Administration has announced.
At issue is the renewal of a conditional-use permit to allow the continued operation of Child’s World School, a private child-care and educational center for children ages 2 to 8. The school is at 6100 Lindley Ave. and serves 96 children.
Among the subjects to be discussed at Friday’s hearing is the environmental impact of the school on the surrounding neighborhood, including traffic, noise and aesthetic concerns.
The hearing will take place at 10 a.m. at the Sherman Oaks Woman’s Club, 4808 Kester Ave. Members of the public may submit written comments regarding the school’s operation in advance of the hearing.
