Costa Mesa Police Arrest N. Calif. Slaying Suspect
Costa Mesa police on Tuesday arrested a 30-year-old man wanted in connection with a slaying in Northern California.
Lassen County sheriff’s officials contacted Costa Mesa detectives Tuesday morning seeking help in finding Kevin Neal Ladner, who they believed to be working in the city, Costa Mesa Sgt. George Yezbick said.
Detectives tracked Ladner through his Costa Mesa workplace to Long Beach, where he has been living. He was arrested on the street near his home about 2:30 p.m., Yezbick said.
Ladner was booked into the Costa Mesa City Jail on an outstanding $1-million murder warrant and was later transferred to Orange County Jail, Yezbick said.
Lassen County sheriff’s officials could not be reached Tuesday about the circumstances of the crime.
