Hot Tickets: Tickets go on sale today for the Vienna Philharmonic’s exclusive West Coast appearances, March 4 and 5 at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa, where the orchestra is being presented by the Philharmonic Society of Orange County. Daniel Barenboim, music director of the Chicago Symphony, will conduct Mozart’s Symphony No. 29 and Bruckner’s Symphony No. 9 on the evening of March 4; he will conduct and be featured soloist for the next evening’s program, Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1 and Strauss’ “Ein Heldenleben.” Tickets, $20 to $96, may be purchased at the center box office ([714] 556-2787) or through Ticketmaster.
