LANCASTER — A man was arrested Friday night on suspicion of raping a 14-year-old girl at gunpoint, sheriff’s deputies said Saturday.
Paul G. Jennings, 36, was arrested at his home on West Avenue J-10 after the girl sought the help of other adults, who called authorities about 9:40 p.m., said Sheriff’s Lt. Terry Lewis.
Lewis said that after Jennings initially refused to answer the door of his home, deputies told him a police dog would be sent in. The man then surrendered, Lewis said, and was arrested without further incident. He was being held in custody at the Antelope Valley sheriff’s station.
