Deal Worth $57 Million

IRVINE — Johnson & Johnson’s Advanced Sterilization Products unit signed an exclusive two-year contract valued at more than $57 million with Amerinet Inc. of St. Louis.
Advanced Sterilization Products said starting immediately, it will be Amerinet’s sole provider of technologies for low-temperature gas plasma sterilization applications. Amerinet is the largest group purchasing organization in the U.S., Advanced Sterilization said.
Irvine-based Advanced Sterilization, maker of the Sterrad sterilization system for medical and surgical instruments, said it now has exclusive contracts totaling more than $350 million with U.S. health-care purchasing groups. Johnson & Johnson is based in New Brunswick, N.J.
